What is white henna?
There is actually no such thing as ‘white henna’, however this refers to a body adhesive used by make-up artists which has been specifically adapted for henna body art, so a white paste that can be applied with a cone and sealed with glitter or gilding powder.
You can apply the ‘white henna’ to the skin as you would apply normal henna. Then when the sticky paste becomes firm, apply gilding powder or glitter generously over the surface. The powder or glitter will stick to and seal the white paste. The paste will no longer be sticky, and will now be waterproof and durable and could last around 3 to 10 days depending on how well it is taken care of.
The ‘white henna’ is safe, however not natural like pure henna. It does not contain latex but do not use if you have an allergy to medical adhesives or plasters.
White henna is not better than pure henna, and doesn’t stain the skin, but is does make a nice change and is becoming more fashionable. It also looks particularly stunning on darker skin tones.
