I love prizes draw and your henna powders are amazing so who wouldn’t’ participate?!?
I’d love to see a video on designs on fingers, since they are so small and skinny usually I always struggle to find nice stuff to fit on them! Thanks

Hi Melina, Thank you for posting an idea about henna for hair – that is absolutely allowed. I have been dying my hair with henna for nearly 20 years since I first discovered it in a local shop whilst at University – Boy did I make a mess of my bathroom and thought I would lose my rent deposit! I have some henna for hair resources in development for the website and so all these ideas are really really welcome

All the suggestions so far refer to henna body art, so I’m not sure if hair related ones are even accepted in this competition; but I would like to see any videos of henna usage on hair, for example techniques/tips on dyeing your roots

Hi Rhonda,
I have written an article showing how to get great colour with henna for body art, this lists the ingredients in detail: http://hennacat.com/?p=1414. Essentially, the ingredients for body art are:
- Good quality henna powder
- Lemon juice (without bits)
- Glucose powder (to help keep the paste slightly moist and stuck to your skin
- Certain essentials oils, with high levels of terpenes e.g. tea tree

whether there are better ways of balancing designs than others?
& hints & tips on infill/outfill, or how to make a quick cheap festival design look big & expensive:-)))

I am new to henna and started last summer. I’ve always been interested in the designs and patterns. I’ve used henna cones, but found that they were very runny and ‘blobby’. I have been ( even with my lack of experience) been involved in fund raising events where people have queued for me to create a design on them! What I really want to do is the finer scaled patterns but cannot do as the henna cones are so runny and it all merges together. I would love to know the best way round this. Do I need to mix my own maybe? The next ‘pamper’ evening in aid of my Grandmother’s nursing home is next month, so I need to be ready! Thank you!

I tried making henna paste by looking at so many vedio,,but still I am not getting the that dark red or maron colour from my home made paste……could plzzz give a vedio about how to get nice colour from home made henna paste…
