Can I put highlights on hennaed hair?
YES!

My hair is regularly hennaed, and as much as I love the look of henna, I wanted to soften the look a little. I spoke to may hairdresser and briefed him that I wanted to look like I had been on holiday, a light sunkissed look, no lighter than strawberry blonde.

I hennaed my hair, to prepare and make sure my roots were covered.  My hairdresser applied Affinage bleach highlights using foils, and I spent, 25 minutes under heat. To round things off, he blow dried my hair straight.
