Hennacat Smudge1

While your henna body art tattoo is drying it is important not to smudge it, however if this does happen here’s what to do.

If the smudge occurs while the henna is being applied, act fast and remove the smudged area with a dry napkin or cotton swab first, then with a wet napkin or cotton swab. Dry the area completely and reapply the henna

If however the smudge occurs after the henna has started to stain the skin, you can try one of the following methods to remove the smudge naturally:

Salt and Water

Take a cup and fill it partly with salt and water. Take a gauze pad and saturate it with the salty water. Lay that gauze pad over your henna tattoo and let it sit for about 20 minutes. Rinse the tattooed area with water and pat it dry. Do this twice or thrice each day, and you will eventually expedite the removal.

Lemon Juice and Baking Soda

Take some lemon juice and baking soda and make a paste. Spread the paste over the henna tattoo and let it sit for about ten minutes. Once it has completely dried, take a soft loofah and exfoliate the skin as you rub in circular motions. Rinse with warm water and if the henna is still there, repeat this process. Afterwards, moisturise because the paste can leave your skin completely dry.
